A note from the artist: I taught biology for 30 years. During that time I was struck by the beauty of living things---their colors sometimes solid and strong, sometimes so faint that they melt into one another and their structure, often intricate and sometimes crude, but always aimed at function. I love observing the patterns that light makes when it touches them. I try to capture and communicate these feelings to you through my watercolors and acrylics.
